Eddie is Vyripharm’s Chief Medical Officer, responsible for overseeing the company’s clinical development and medical affairs. He oversees the advancement of clinical development strategies and programs to advance population health. Eddie’s focus is improving overall health and well-being while creating a national model for health engagement, research, and medicine. Eddie previously served as Clinical Assistant Professor, Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery at UT Health Science Center. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, and President of the Texas Neurological Society.
Prior to joining Vyripharm, Eddie was in private practice at UT Neurosciences and Houston Methodist Neurology Associates. He is a former Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Eddie holds an M.D.from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his neurology training and neuromuscular fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Eddie received his MBA from Jones School of Business at Rice University.

Phil is an accomplished business development and growth executive with over 30 years of public and private corporate experience focused on strategic partnerships and expansion initiatives. He is responsible for global business development, global mergers & acquisitions, and strategic financing initiatives. In the last two decades, Phil has leveraged his vast expertise to assume key roles in the successful launch of several startups, formulating growth strategies and securing early-stage funding through family offices and small-cap investment funds. In 1994, he founded a $50 million data services company that became the largest data reseller channel for MCI. In 1996, Phil exclusively set up and managed the reseller channel for ANS, a multi-billion-dollar AOL company.
Among his previous roles, Phil co-founded an adult stem cell collection and cryogenic storage business with private healthcare practices located in fifteen Tier 1 markets nationwide. Phil was the chief architect responsible for leading the software development of the “Emergency Communications Network” at Hickman Air Force Base in Honolulu, HI and of the Indian Tribal Network which connected all the largest American Indian Tribes in the United States.
Phil received a BS in economics and a minor in computer science from the University of Louisiana.

Elias leads a group that includes government affairs, scientific affairs and policy. He oversees the company’s initiative to promote and enhance public health and public safety through strategic communications, U.S. Policy and Federal Government Relations.
Elias has a broad background in molecular and cellular biology, immunological mechanisms, and imaging. His research projects and collaborations are focused on the integration of traditional pharmaceuticals with non-traditional pharmaceuticals to have a high impact on the standard of treatment for various diseases.
Prior to joining Vyripharm, Elias served as Associate Professor of Physiology at American University of Antigua College of Medicine and Research Scientist at Yale School of Medicine Cardiovascular Center. He was previously involved with drug development at ILEX Oncology.
Elias received his B.S. in biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. He earned his doctoral degree at UTMB in cell biology under the mentorship of Dr. Sankar Mitra and Dr. Satish Srivastava. Elias completed his postdoctoral training at Yale University School of Medicine Cardiovascular Research Center.
